A landslide blocked Conference Drive, the main roadway into Mount Hermon, and knocked out the main electrical power to the community on Wednesday morning.
Mount Hermon staff announced that PG&E is on site and working on damaged lines and have restored power to most of the community.
Earthworks, a heavy equipment company, will begin removing earth and debris as soon as the area is safe.
Mount Hermon staff believe the road will reopen at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the earliest.
The conference center will publish updates at www.mounthermoncommunity.com or the main Mount Hermon website, www.mounthermon.org as they are available.
