Braves 16, Live Oak Yankees 1
The Braves struck out 5 times in the first two innings. Then in the thirdThomas Moore singled… then Jack Gentry tripled to right,Jackson Turner tripled twice in the game, Mateo Ballas’s double, Blake Owen’s triple, and Tanner’s second home run of the year. Cody Peterson reached base 3 of 4 times, and scored twice. Derek Creelman stayed hot with two singles.
Braves 4, Live Oak Giants 1
Tanner Murray threw 8 strikeouts. At the plate Murray also had two hits and a run scored. Howard Forehan knocked him in the first with a single. Cody Peterson got a hit to bring in an RBI in the fourth. The Braves got a double from Hans Suwinski and an RBI infield hit from Mateo Ballas.
White Sox 13, Live Oak Padres 7
White Sox batter Justin Rudrow saved the best for last with a two-run homer in the fifth and scored all four times on base. Adam Peters also roped a triple and came all the way home after an error. He scored four runs as well. Manny Smith had three hits and four runs. Trent Walker struck out four batters. Tommy Andersen finished on the hill for the White Sox.
SLV Giants 6, Live Oak Giants 1
Jacob and Julian Auldridge each had rbi-singles, and combined for 6 K’s on the mound. Jack Chatoff roped a single in the second, and later scored when Matt Siordia made contact. Scotty MacCool singled in the fourth. He scored on a two out single from Jacob
Auldridge. Max Crandall doubled in the first, and Tommy Chestnut got a single in the
second.
MINORS
Red Sox 8, A’s 6
The Red Sox struck out 9 times, but got some big at bats from Jakob Balducci (single in the second) Hedstrom (doulbe in the third), and Shane Kiyabu’s rbi single in
the third to pull off the win. Andrew Chestnut hit well with two singles. The A’s David George knocked in one RBI and later scored. The A’s got another “daily double” (2b) from James Menzies in the sixth.
Giants 9, Braves 5
Mason Cada picked up two big rbi singles in the second and the sixth to help the Giants…one the first pitch he saw, one on the second. James Eckles crushed a single, and then Eddie MacDonald bombed a double which brought up Cada. The Braves got two hits from Quinn Herzog and Vinnie Prograce to stay in the game. Craig Yeoman blasted a triple to bring in a run in the sixth.
Dodgers 13, Giants 7
Cody Edgemon struck out ten Dodgers through five innings , then came the sixth. The Dodgers used 7 walks and hits from Aidan Callahan and Ben Murphy to break the game open. Blake Kuehl scored twice. The Giants earned hits from Vernon Frieberg (double in the 5th) and Eddie MacDonald (double), Luka Mahkovtz, who scored three runs.
AA
A’s 7, Giants 6
The A’s Hagan Warner and Aden Rich roped RBI singles. Joshua Forst then
knocked in two more with a single. The Giants Elena Ballas then came around to score along with Aiden Largay, Noah Brown, Casey Crouch, and Colby Weikart, who all singled. Largay threw two shutout innings to hold off the Giants, including a bases-loaded jam in the open inning
Pirates 7, Mets 2
Remi Peters and Jack Huxtable only needed the coaches to pitch three times in five
Innings. Jalen Milrad went 2 for 3 with two runs. Trevor Cambron had two
singles, a run, and an RBI. Andrew Gudnason picked up a double, a single and
scored. For the Mets, Quinn Hite was two for two with a run. Jason Schaaf singled and
scored in the first.
Mets 8 Giants 7
Isaac Wallace-Menge came in as the closer and did the job in a frantic sixth inning and the Mets got a one-run win. In the top the open-inning sixth, the Mets got a one out single
from Josh Purtscher, a single from Isaac Wallace-Menge, a double from Collin, and
singles from Nate Stevison and William Caddell to take a 4-run lead. Giants….Brodie Brownlee singled, RJ crushed what turned out to be a home run, Casey Crouch singled.
