This water district storage tank has been leaking since at least 2010, and won't be fixed until 2018.

San Lorenzo Valley Water District can now move forward with repairs to a leaking tank off Graham Hill Road in Felton after a federal clearance.
The district announced Monday that they received a permit from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to replace the 100,000 gallon redwood water tank, which is in the Sandhills habitat, a home for the endangered June beetle.
The district will build a 527,000 gallon steel tank, add two retaining walls and upgrades to the land and infrastructure for an expected $1.95 million. In a news release, SLVWD wrote that it is applying for loans from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help pay for the project.
The project is not expected to begin until next summer or fall and is the latest effort to update the district’s 76-year-old water system.
