Bethany players net All-Conference honors
Bethany University’s Travis Derochowski, a forward on the men’s basketball team, made the California Pacific Conference first team for the Bruins. He is a junior from McMinnville, Oregon. Teammate Marqus Crawford, a junior from Morgan Hill, made the second team for the 2-25 Bruins.
Scotts Valley baseball undefeated in preseason play
Scotts Valley High baseball team earned their third consecutive win of the pre-season over host Menlo-Atherton winning 6-3 in nonleague play. Jake Duncan picked up his first win of the season, shutting out the Bears the final three innings. Matt Snider batted in two runs for the Falcons while going 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles. The Falcons play next at St. Ignatius on Saturday, March 5 at 11 a.m.
