Softball team goes undefeated
The San Lorenzo Valley Middle School sixth and seventh grade team finished the season 12-0 following a 9-1 campaign in 2011.
The team carried five pitchers and three catchers and was coached by Greg Logan and Chuck Parham with assistance from Ted Dominguez, Tara Andrade and team mom Anne Fortina.
Logan said the success is partly due to April Beltz who was instrumental in developing the local recreation league and the Mountain Dream traveling team.
