Bethany volleyball welcomes transfers
Two freshmen have transferred to Bethany University to play volleyball for the Bruins in 2010.
Middle blocker Jackie Lee, from George Fox University, and setter Kirsten Duren, from Boise State University, both recently transferred to Bethany.
Lee, who stands 6-foot-1, saw limited action in her first season at George Fox. She was a 2008 first-team High Desert League selection at Reed High School in Nevada and played for Capital City Volleyball Club.
Duren, a 5-3 setter, played in 33 sets for Boise State University in 2009, averaging 2.55 assists and a .385 attack percentage.
“We are very excited that Jackie and Kirsten have joined our program,” Bethany head coach Reed Duffus said. “Both come from terrific programs, and as they learn how we do things here at Bethany this spring, they will become solid contributors and tremendous teammates.”
