San Lorenzo Valley’s Luke Sinnott won three field events for the Cougars as the SLV track team beat Scotts Valley 95-40 in an Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League dual meet at SLV High on March 17.
The San Lorenzo Valley High volleyball team is once again off to a thunderous start at 4-1 this spring. The 2009-10 Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League champions are looking to repeat their title this season, and have only fallen to Pacific Collegiate School.
The final game of the season was again a battle as the Falcons dropped the quarterfinals of the Northern California tournament to Piedmont High School of Oakland 57-48 on March 10.
Branden Caldwell is a junior distance runner on the track team at San Lorenzo Valley High School. An aspiring Eagle Scout for Boy Scout Troop 633 in Santa Cruz, Caldwell decided to find a way to help the track team while fulfilling his Eagle Scout project.
