Falcons Win Big in Homecoming Game against Eureka

The ScottsValley coaching staff couldn’t have written a much better script in its homecoming performance last Friday. The defense was unrelenting. The offense operated with power and precision and special teams’ play was exactly that, special. It all added up to a dominating 46-0 victory over visiting EurekaHigh School in front of a large and enthusiastic homecoming crowd under the lights in ScottsValley.

SLV Little League to host first all-star tourney

Many of the top little leaguers in District 39 will make the trip to San Lorenzo Valley Little League field for the first time as the league hosts its first all-star tournament. The little league will host the Minors all-star tournament beginning Saturday, June 26, and it will through July 8.

Through the first four innings, it looked like Soquel High’s softball team was poised to upset its second-consecutive first-place opponent. The Knights defeated then-first place Aptos High 1-0 on May 13, and were knotted up 0-0 with new league leader San Lorenzo Valley heading into the top of the fifth inning Friday, May 15.
