Little League teams battle for four All-Star crowns

Three of the five Scotts Valley Little League All-Star teams are rolling through their respective District 39 tournaments, while the 7- and 8-year-olds have already won theirs. Four San Lorenzo Valley Little league teams are vying for crowns, too, making the upcoming weekend one to remember.

The Scotts Valley Bocce Club surprised everyone, including themselves, proving to be a tough contender at the 2011 U.S. National Championships at Campo Di Bocce in Los Gatos. Punt, pass and kick with Joe Nedney

While the National Football League lockout has fans and players alike wondering what to do, 49ers kicker Joe Nedney took some of his newly acquired free time to spend with a group of kids from Vine Hill Elementary School. A batch of a dozen or so kids from Vine Hill won a raffle to participate in the punt, pass and kick day with Nedney in Scotts Valley at Skypark this weekend.
