The Scotts Valley City Council will get a first look at the proposed 2010-11 city budget for the Scotts Valley Senior Center, Community Center, recreation fund, wastewater fund and recycling fund at tonight’s city council meeting.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Scotts Valley City Hall, 1 Civic Center Drive in Scotts Valley.
A key item in the budget hearing is the reduction of $17,000 to the Senior Center budget. The director is retiring and the city will not fill her position.
The Gateway South Final Environmental Impact Report will also come before the council for a public hearing and approval tonight.
The report was paid for by the property owner when Target was planning to come build on the La Madrona Drive Property. Target has since backed out, but the report, detailing the environmental and traffic impacts of the development, is now complete.
