SVPD deserves kudos

EDITOR,
I’d like to address my most recent experiences with the Scotts Valley Police Department. 
Last month, I emailed Chief John Weiss about an incident that occurred at a local business. I didn’t expect to hear back for some time. Not only did he reply that evening, but his lieutenant contacted me the following day. Lt. John Wilson was not only patient and polite, but immediately researched the occurrence and followed up with me. Shortly afterward, Weiss followed up with me (again) to make sure that my concern had been met. Wow!
Fast-forward to the Fourth of July event at Skypark: Not only was the event well staffed security wise, but the chief himself was there to make sure that the families felt safe and secure. Another wow.
I want to commend the SVPD for personally demonstrating what true service and servant leadership is all about. If all businesses ran this way, the world would be a much better place. Well done.
