With several large housing projects on the horizon in Scotts Valley, including the Town Center project with a proposed 300 new units of housing, growth has become a hot issue in Scotts Valley, and has raised many questions at public meetings about adequate water supply.  

A report on the Conjunctive Use Planning Process was met with some skepticism and some support by members of the public who participated in last week’s meeting of the San Lorenzo Valley Water District (SLVWD).

There was a lively debate at last week’s Santa Margarita Groundwater Agency board of directors meeting on whether to form an ad hoc committee for private well owners.
