President of SVEF runs for city council

Scotts Valley City Council race is shaping up to be between two incumbent city council members and a political newcomer. Scotts Valley resident Derek Timm will be running against current city council member Stephanie Aguilar and Mayor Jim Reed for one of two available seats in this year’s election.

Scotts Valley Fourth of July Parade

The City of Scotts Valley annual 4th of July parade will once again be held on Scotts Valley Drive from 3 p.m. to 4:30pm. The route will be the same as last year’s (shown on the attached map). The parade route starts at the intersection of Scotts Valley Drive and Carbonero Way, heads north towards El Pueblo Road and loops back to Carbonero Way where it ends.

Scotts Valley gets first synthetic playing turf

The city of Scotts Valley will soon have its first artificial playing turf for multiple purpose use for student athletes, youth and adults.
