History takes center stage at the latest installment of Ronnie Trubek’s Tales of Ben Lomond History Series, which will take place Thursday, March 12, at 7pm at Park Hall Community Center in Ben Lomond.
Trubek, a local historian and Realtor, will focus on the first half of the 20th century in the San Lorenzo Valley with fascinating stories and a large collection of historical photographs and postcards.
This presentation, the second in a three-part series, is titled “Mountain Outpost to Thriving Town: Visionary Businessmen and Everyday Heroes,” and focuses on a pivotal era of growth and resilience from about 1900 to 1950. Attendance of Part 1 isn’t required as this presentation stands alone and no prior knowledge is needed.
All proceeds will benefit the Park Hall Fire Sprinkler Fund and the Ben Lomond Village Alliance, which champions events that connect residents with their local roots while supporting vital infrastructure.
“This presentation offers a chance to look back at where we came from while contributing directly to the future of our village hub,” organizers noted.
Doors at Park Hall, located at 9400 Mill St., will open at 6:30pm, with the presentation beginning promptly at 7pm. An intermission with concessions will be available by donation. Visit benlomondvillage.org/events for more details.
