Thank you, public servants

EDITOR,
I would like to take a couple of moments to recognize and acknowledge our public servants, which include our Scotts Valley City Council, city management and Public Works Department.
To say these jobs are tough is an understatement.
Only special individuals can attempt to handle public servant positions. Service to community is a thankless job that includes countless hours and is riddled with criticism.
Public service, at times, can be like walking on egg shells, knowing that one comment could upset any number of people.
You can be a hero one minute and a zero the next.
So I just want to say thank you to our City Council and our city management. We currently have some of the best people running our city.
We are in better shape financially than many other cities.
We should show an attitude of gratitude to our council and city officials.
These people truly care about our city and the residents of Scotts Valley. I only hope that the citizens of our great city will drop words of encouragement to our city leaders so they can go forward with running our fabulous city.
