16-and-under
Like the 10- and 12-and-under teams, the 16U “B” team completed its season in Santa Clara after working hard and battling all season. Nicole Trenchard supported the team with excellent catching. Lexi Stevens came through in the last tournament, and Sigrid Holtrop — despite having a torn anterior cruciate ligament that was not discovered until late in the season — pitched several games and battled through injuries to support her team.
The 16U “A” team finished the season at the Western Nationals in Kent, Wash., from Aug.1 to 7 and finished 13th with a 3-3 record.
