SLV alumnus graduates from artillery training
Army Pfc. Timothy J. Sullivan recently graduated from the Basic Field Artillery Cannon Crewmember Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla.
The course is designed to train servicemen and -women to maintain, prepare and load ammunition for firing; operate and maintain prime movers, self-propelled Howitzers and ammunition vehicles; store, maintain and distribute ammunition as a member of battery or battalion ammunition section; perform crew maintenance and participate in organizational maintenance of weapons and related equipment; and establish and maintain radio and wire communications.
Sullivan is the son of Maureen Sullivan of Scotts Valley and the brother of Valerie Flores of Boulder Creek.
He is a 1995 San Lorenzo Valley High School graduate and received an associate degree from Heald College in 2006.
Student recognized in San Diego
Shannon Charlton of Scotts Valley recently became a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda at San Diego State University.
