Local man selected to present paper on education
Scotts Valley resident Noel Sollom-Brotherton, a teacher at Dublin High School, will co-present a paper, “Whose Space? Finding Third Space in an Urban High School Literature Classroom,” at the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association.
He graduated this year with a master’s degree in teaching from Puget Sound University.
The paper was selected from more than 11,000 submissions. The majority of papers accepted are from established professors and doctoral students from around the country.
Sollom-Brotherton will present the paper with Fred Hamel, Puget Sound professor of education, who advised on the thesis. The meeting will be April 13 through 17 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
