Student makes dean’s list
Ashley Rohde, a senior majoring in psychology, was named to the dean’s list at California State University, Monterey Bay, for the 2010 spring semester.
The dean’s list recognizes students who keep up a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 while taking at least 12 credits.
Rohde, a 2007 Scotts Valley High graduate, is the daughter of Rich and Joy Rohde.
Officer recognized by Special Olympics
Scotts Valley police Lt. John Hohmann was presented the Karen Johnson Memorial Award for his outstanding contributions in support of Special Olympics.
Hohmann is the Scotts Valley Police Department liaison officer for all Special Olympic-related events, including the Tip-A-Cop fundraiser and the recent torch run through Scotts Valley.
Hohmann was presented with the award June 25 at the Special Olympic Games in Davis.
