Several students who won a recent poster contest were picked up from local schools Friday, Oct. 29, by Scotts Valley police in their S.W.A.T. truck and taken to lunch at Bruno’s BBQ. The students had created posters with the theme of living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The grand prize winner, Cole Kendall of Brook Knoll Elementary School, received a $500 gift certificate to Scotts Valley Cyclesport. The other winners received unlimited-rides passes to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Winners are Macie Luck and Zyriz DeLatorre from Baymonte School, Kendall and Bailey Whittle from Brook Knoll, Kristin Renn and Jessie Hohmann from Vine Hill Elementary School and Maddie Hitzeman from Scotts Valley Middle School.
