A new year brings new faces to the staffs of almost every school because of retirements, leaves and changes of venue. The schools in Scotts Valley and the San Lorenzo Valley are no exception this fall.
Many new teachers had their first taste of the classroom this week, as students began classes Tuesday, Aug. 24, in the San Lorenzo Valley School District and Wednesday, Aug. 25, in the Scotts Valley Unified School District. Baymonte Christian School in Scott Valley starts Sept. 1.
