William G. Hilton

Long-time Boulder Creek resident William (Bill) Hilton passed away on March 29, 2016 due to sudden cardiac arrest. He was 68 years old.
Born in Modesto, California on November 22, 1947, Bill moved to Boulder Creek with his parents and older brother Robert when he was a young child. Together the family owned and operated the Burl Theater and Forrest Pool in Boulder Creek.
Bill attended Boulder Creek Elementary School and San Lorenzo Valley High School where he met his wife of 50 years, Patricia. Bill worked for Watkins-Johnson Company for 25 years. He owned and operated Abraxas Powder Coating, Abraxas Sand Blasting, and Abraxas Design until his retirement.
He was a gentle and congenial man who loved watching car races, restoring cars, attending car shows, going to the beach, scuba diving, nature, and spending time with his family. While Bill enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, his favorite place was his childhood home nestled in the heart of the San Lorenzo Valley.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Wynne; brother Robert; and son-in-law Rick. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia; daughters Diane, Cynthia and Shauna; sons-in-law Travis and Rob; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as numerous treasured friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a later date.
