Scotts Valley and San Lorenzo Valley high schools have both earned places at the table in the Central Coast Section playoffs that are taking place this week and next.
Girls Soccer
The Scotts Valley High School girls soccer team has earned the No. 1 seed in the CCS Division III soccer playoffs and earned a first-round bye.
The team will host the winner of the Feb. 22 matchup between No. 8 Crystal Springs Uplands and No. 9 Pacific Grove on Saturday, Feb. 25. The time is yet to be announced.
Girls Basketball
The Falcons will open the Division III CCS playoffs against Notre Dame Belmont, the team the Falcons lost to in the CCS finals last year 33-29. The teams will square off at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Notre Dame Belmont.
Boys Basketball
The Scotts Valley Falcons earned their first visit to the boys CCS basketball tournament under the tutelage of first year head coach Charles Burks. The Falcons defeated Greenfield 56-46 on Feb. 21 and will play next at No. 5 seed Menlo on Thursday, Feb 23 after press time.
Boys Soccer
The Falcons boys soccer team kicked off the post-season against the Kings Academy on Wednesday, Feb 22 after press time. The boys earned a second place finish in the SCCAL behind Santa Cruz High with a 10-5-3 overall and 7-3-1 in SCCAL play.
