County court reduces hours
Starting Monday, Feb. 1, the Superior Court of Santa Cruz County reduced its clerks’ office hours by an hour. Open hours will now end at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Courts statewide are also closed the third Wednesday of each month. The changes come in the wake of reduced money from the state.
Court papers can still be filed with the clerk’s office in both Santa Cruz and Watsonville between 3 and 5 p.m. using secure drop boxes. Papers left in a drop box during those hours will be filed the same day.
