Feb. 21
• Three unknown men broke into a Boulder Creek man’s home, beat him and shot him in the chest with a BB gun at midnight on the 12700 block of Central Avenue. The culprits got away with $900 cash, a diamond ring and a BB gun.
Feb. 20
• A man was arrested after failing to pull over when prompted by police, which led to a high-speed chase at midnight along a narrow stretch of Highway 9 in Boulder Creek. The driver’s passenger was also arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Palo Alto.
Feb. 19
• The Hill Guitar Co. was vandalized after someone hurled a rock into a large window at 5 p.m. on the 7000 block of Highway 9.
Feb. 18
• Someone stole three guitars from a Ben Lomond man’s bedroom at 8 a.m. on the 200 block of Riverside Park Drive. There were no signs of forced entry.
• A Boulder Creek man called police multiple times to report prowlers and suspicious cars in his neighborhood, but none were found. Police determined the caller was under the influence of a stimulant and arrested him at midnight on the 14000 block of Highway 9.
Feb. 9
• A Felton couple’s 1999 Saab Wagon was set on fire at 1:11 a.m. on Manzanita Avenue near San Lorenzo Avenue. Fire personnel couldn’t determine the cause of the blaze but the couple believes the act is arson because the car doors were left open and a gas can was found in the backseat. Also a neighbor told the couple that her car had been burned similarly in August.
Aug. 1
• A gun was stolen from a Boulder Creek woman, she reported at midnight on the 17000 block of Highway 9. She believes her ex-roommate is responsible.

Feb. 19
• An 18-year-old was found with marijuana in his car after police smelled it at 8:29 p.m. on the 3600 block of Glen Canyon Road.
Feb. 17
• A car was stopped for a suspected cell phone violation, and police found the driver to be unlicensed. Police told the driver not to drive, but spotted him driving minutes later at 9:22 a.m. on the 5200 block of Scotts Valley Drive. The car was stopped again and towed.
Feb. 16
• A teenager was caught with alcohol on school grounds and admitted to drinking during morning break at 12:33 p.m. at Scotts Valley High School, 555 Glenwood Drive.
