A Ben Lomond man’s 15-year-old daughter has been missing since May 26.
Damon Mercer said the last time he saw his daughter, Sierra Rose Mercer, was when he dropped her off at school on a Wednesday morning.
Sierra went to downtown Santa Cruz with a couple friends that evening, Mercer said.
“She called later that afternoon and said she was on a bus to Santa Cruz and I said no, you need to come home. She told me she would get on the next bus home and that was the last time I talked to her,” Mercer said.
Mercer said that Sierra does not have a boyfriend.
“I’ve been downtown everyday at night until the early morning for the last eight days,” Mercer said. “I’ve searched every homeless encampment, tunnel and railroad track. I don’t think she is in town at this point.”
Mercer said some teens told him they saw Sierra near the bus station in Santa Cruz on May 29 and she said she might head to Berkeley, San Francisco or Angels Camp. He said he has filed reports with Santa Cruz Police and the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office.
Sierra moved to Ben Lomond from her mother’s home in Rocklin about six months ago and was attending San Lorenzo Valley High School, Mercer said.
She is about 5 foot, 3 inches tall, has large brown eyes and brown hair that reaches past her shoulders.
The last time Mercer saw her she was wearing pink, gauge (lobe stretching) earrings, a black hooded sweatshirt with red lettering, blue jeans and possibly black sneakers.
Mercer asked that anyone with information call him at 588-8054 or call 911 if they see her.
