Office hires sports chiropractor
Scotts Valley’s Hinde Chiropractic has a new doctor in the office. Tim Smith specializes in the treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of injury for athletes of all ages, while increasing athletic performance and overall health and wellness.
Smith, a lifelong athlete, has his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and graduated magna cum laude from Life Chiropractic College West in San Francisco.
Hinde Chiropractic has also changed its office hours. The new hours are from noon to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Locals haul in Golden Carrot honors
The Go for Health Collaborative has announced the winners of its second Golden Carrot Award. The award is given to Santa Cruz County restaurants that meet specific criteria for providing healthy food options to customers.
Valley restaurant winners are Auntie Mame’s and Mollie’s Country Cafe in Scotts Valley, Peachwoods Steakhouse in Pasatiempo and Redwood Pizzeria in Felton.
Networking mixer at new Wells Fargo location
The Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting and business-networking mixer at Wells Fargo Bank, 100 Kings Village Road, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 24.
Wells Fargo moved from its previous location on Mount Hermon Road in April.
The cost for the mixer is $5 for members and $10 for prospective members.
