Boulder Creek book signing
Air and Fire: A Mystical Bazaar will host author Jamie Martinez Wood for a talk and book signing at
1 p.m. Aug. 14. Wood will promote her new book, “The Faeries’ Guide to Green Magick from the Garden.”
Air and Fire is at 13124 Highway 9 in Boulder Creek.

Art exhibit opens in SV bank
A new art exhibit, titled “Places,” opened this month at Santa Cruz County Bank branches countywide, including the Scotts Valley Branch, 4604 Scotts Valley Drive.
The exhibit is said to “awaken our senses to travel and adventure” and features black-and-white photography from 10 local photographers.
The bank is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 6 p.m. Fridays. A reception for the exhibit will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the bank at 720 Front St. in Santa Cruz.
