San Lorenzo Valley Little League will elect a board of directors and hear about national rules and regulations and a state-of-the-league financial update at its annual meeting beginning 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the San Lorenzo Valley High School staff room, 7105 Highway 9, in Felton. Fall ball to kick off in Scotts Valley
Fall baseball for children ages 5 through 12 starts Sept. 26 at Siltanen Park in Scotts Valley. The season will run six Sunday afternoons and consists of skills training and practice games. The $35 cost includes a T-shirt and post-session Otter Pops.

Under-9 soccer takes fourth in Danville
The Scotts Valley-San Lorenzo Valley Soccer Club under-9 boys advanced team — Valley United — captured fourth place at the Mustang Devil Mountain Tournament in Danville over the Labor Day weekend.
The team, coached by Jeff Heinen, tied the Mustang Bull Dogs 2-2 and lost 1-0 in a tough final match against the Mustang Red Bulls.
The Devil Mountain Tournament is an annual event that includes several hundred teams. It was the first tournament competition for Valley United, which plays in the competitive NorCal Premier Soccer League, which includes teams from Central California.
