Faria

Longtime Boulder Creek resident Marion Elizabeth Faria died in Boulder Creek on Jan. 31. She was 82.
Mrs. Faria was born in San Diego to Floyd and Viola Purcell. She was raised in Santee and attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School. She lived in Alameda and San Leandro before settling for the past 38 years in Boulder Creek. She worked for a time at Alameda Naval Air Station.
Relatives said Mrs. Faria loved animals and treasured her pets, a horse, three dogs and four cats.
Mrs. Faria is survived by her daughter, Kathleen S. Faria of Boulder Creek.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Faria, and son, Robert Michael Faria.
A memorial will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Scopazzi’s Restaurant, 13300 Big Basin Way, in Boulder Creek. An online guest book can be signed at www.pacificgardenschapel.com.
