Toni Vance Kelly, a former San Lorenzo Valley resident, died April 24 in Visalia. She was 66.
She was born in Santa Cruz and lived there before moving to the San Lorenzo Valley in 1976. She spent many years working as a cashier at Roy’s Market in Felton before settling in Tracy with her husband, Dick Kelly, in 1999.
Relatives said Ms. Kelly had a big heart and was a great friend to many, always there to lend a helping hand. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She recently moved to Visalia to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Robert Burja of Soquel; daughters, Gina Burja of Visalia, Dawn Kelly of Redwood City and Laura Patrick of Cobb Mountain; eight grandchildren: Mike Verber, Jessica Nista, Melissa Burja, Kelly Rio Rrethatakaj, Tasha and Tyra Burja, Jilana and Garret Nunn; great-grandchild Marjus Nunn and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Dick Kelly, and a son, Brandon Burja, who died in August.
