A memorial service will be this weekend in Ben Lomond for longtime Ben Lomond resident Richard Templeman, who died at age 82 at Valley House Care Center in Santa Clara.
Mr. Templeman, a 44-year resident of Ben Lomond, taught at San Lorenzo Valley Junior High School for 26 years. He served as a master sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Relatives said Mr. Templeman loved to play golf, read and travel. He was the leader of an annual historical trip to the East Coast, and he coached the junior high’s golf team.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Templeman of Ben Lomond; son, Rich Templeman, and his wife, Stacey, of Ben Lomond; daughter, Sandi Templeman of Ben Lomond; a grandson; and a nephew and three nieces.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 101 Riverside Ave., in Ben Lomond. Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary is handling arrangements.
