Diane Prilliman died at her home surrounded by her family. She was 64.
Mrs. Prilliman was born in San Francisco to Rinaldo and Alice (Dimick) Angelini. At young age, she moved with her family to Palo Alto, and after graduating from Palo Alto High School in 1965, she headed west to Loma Mar. Four years later, she made a move to Scotts Valley, where she planted roots and raised her family.
Relatives said Mrs. Prilliman always had a strong connection to her spirit and a keen sense of others’ spiritual state. She became a reverend and provided spiritual guidance and counseling to the parishioners of The Universal Church of the Master in Santa Clara for 40 years. She was the first to extend her hand to someone in need, relatives said, and her generosity, kindness and spirituality left others in awe.
Mrs. Prilliman was also known for her artistic eye. She painted, drew, crafted and decorated, especially around the holidays. She would create a winter wonderland for Christmas, a bunny-filled Easter and a scary yet unique Halloween, giving small toys instead of candy to trick-or-treaters.
Mrs. Prilliman was a dedicated mother to her four children. All friends were welcomed in her house, fed a delicious meal and made to feel like they were part of her family.
She is survived by her spouse of more then 10 years, Tony Allen of Scotts Valley; parents, Rinaldo and Alice Angelini of Scotts Valley; daughter, Cindy Ciolino of Scotts Valley; sons, Jason Smith of Hollister, Jesse Angelini and Lucas Prilliman of Scotts Valley; brother, Dennis Angelini of Scotts Valley; two nieces; and four grandchildren.
Private services are planned. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.pacificgardenschapel.com.
