Megan Colleen Alves of Felton was married to John Daniel Bridges of Boulder Creek on June 16, 2012.
The wedding was held at the home of the bride’s grandmother, Gail Reason, in Felton.
Salina (Bridges) Branson was the matron of honor; and bridesmaids were Tera Reason, Theresa Bridges, Jessie Perugini, Adrienne Gaughn and Danni Stallings.
The best man was Anthony Bridges, and the groomsmen were Doug Alves, Rick Alves, Travis Eddy, Ian Zachary and Corey McVeigh.
Flower girls were Gabi and Sara Dube and Maci Branson.
The bride, daughter of Colleen Alves of Ben Lomond and Nester Alves of Boulder Creek, graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School in 2005. She earned an associate degree in liberal arts and sciences from Cabrillo College and works at Scotts Valley Fire District.
The groom, son of John Bridges of Antioch and Mia Dube of Boulder Creek, is a 2004 San Lorenzo Valley High School graduate who earned an associate degree in fire technology from Cabrillo College. He completed Emergency Training Services’ paramedic program last year and works for Boulder Creek Fire District.
John proposed to Megan on July 29, 2011, by surprising her at work with a “Will you marry me” sign on the side of a fire engine.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Hawaii for one week following the wedding and are living in the Boulder Creek home they purchased earlier this year.
