At a Northern California destination wedding at the historic Carrville Inn in the foothills of the Trinity Alps, Jenaveva Lockheart Moorhead and her high school love, Michael Scott Hultin, exchanged vows July 28, 2012.
The bride’s parents, Christine and Harold Moorhead, gave her hand in marriage with the love and support of the groom’s parents, Jean and John Hultin.
The occasion was celebrated with the bride’s arrival on a refurbished wagon pulled by Molly the mule and driven by the bride’s grandfather Lyle Charter, of Arbuckle.
Caden and Tatum Bianchi of Cameron Park serenaded her arrival with a violin duet.
In attendance were bridesmaids Sara Purtscher of Brookdale, Megan Moore of Eureka, Kellie Bianchi of Cameron Park, Holly Moorhead of Eugene, Vanessa Wrede of Korea and Jessie Kinsey of Redding.
The maid of honor, Kyra Gabelman of Aptos, was unable to attend because of the impending birth of her son, who was born Aug. 17 and named Kekoa Aldon Osoborn.
The groomsmen included Tim Smith, Ben Hultin and Pete Carlson, all of Boulder Creek, Jay Kaplan and Alex Loveless, both of Aptos, and Scott Sanborn of Florida.
The couple met in 1998 during their sophomore year at San Lorenzo Valley High School. They both graduated in 2001. During the past several years, they lived in Eureka, where Jenaveva worked for an attorney and Michael worked part time in solar construction while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in business from California State University, Humboldt.
After graduating, he took a sales position at Equinix, and she found work as an administrative assistant at Canepa Design. They celebrated their marriage by honeymooning in Cabo San Lucas.
The couple lives in Santa Cruz near the beach.
