PG&E

Along with this month’s bill, which was considerably lower than last month’s, PG&E enclosed an explanatory leaflet, “What is the California Climate Credit?”Customers are to receive a credit twice a year (April and October) and are encouraged to use the savings to upgrade older appliances, light bulbs, etc. for newer energy-saving models.
It states, “The Climate Credit is one of many programs resulting from landmark legislation called the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006. Together, these programs are cutting pollution, creating jobs, and investing in cleaner energy and transportation. For more information about climate change science and programs to reduce carbon pollution, visit www.climatechange.ca.gov.”
In the same envelope was a notice that PG&E has filed a request on September 1, 2015 with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to increase rates for the 2017 general rate case (A-15-09-001). Included also was a leaflet “Understanding Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMF) which was informative reading.
