Christian Rebottaro went to Vine Hill Elementary, then on to ScottsValleyMiddle School, and to ScottsValleyHigh School. In his sophomore year he transferred to Monte Vista Christian and he commutes daily to Watsonville from ScottsValley.
While Rebottaro plays an outstanding game of football for the Mustangs, he is mostly a wrestler. The heavy-weight won last year’s Central Coast Section tournament and is USA Wrestling All-American.
He recently signed a letter of commitment to MichiganStateUniversity in wrestling. The MSU Spartans are one of the top Division I wrestling schools, and Rebottaro is getting a guaranteed 5-year, 80 percent scholarship which can become full-ride depending on his performance.
“The 2020 Tokyo Olympics are his ultimate goal,” said his dad, Steve Rebottaro.
