• Three people fled from a taxi without paying the fare at 1:19 a.m. on the 11500 block of Highway 9 in Brookdale.
• Someone snuck into several cabins at a conference center and took a total of $65 in cash, according to reports at 10 a.m. on the 6400 block of East Zayante Road. Several witnesses saw a man inside the cabins.

• Officers responded to a burglary in progress at 7:30 a.m. and searched a house on the 200 block of Larita Drive in Ben Lomond. The suspect gained entry by breaking a window.
• Someone entered a Boulder Creek woman’s home and took various items at 8:45 a.m. on the 200 block of Stapp Road.

• A Ben Lomond woman reported her laptop and a box of valuable coins were stolen from her home at 5:30 p.m. on the 700 block of Eduardo Avenue.
Oct. 14
• Three tables were taken from the Boulder Creek Recreation and Parks district at midnight on the 1300 block of Middleton Avenue.

• Two unidentified people went into a grocery store on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road and put various bottles of alcohol and a large packet of meat into a shopping cart before leaving without paying at 4:33 p.m.
Nov. 2
• Someone tried to buy ink cartridges using a phony driver’s license and credit cards at 12:16 p.m. on the 200 block of Mount Hermon Road. The items were not shipped out.
• A 68-year-old man was deemed too drunk to care for himself and was taken into custody at 7:09 p.m. on the 200 block of King’s Village Road.
• A rape was reported at 8:38 p.m. in western Scotts Valley.
• A woman reported that her 27-year-old boyfriend struck her several times in the leg, causing soreness, at 8:45 p.m. in northern Tracy. The boyfriend admitted that he hit her and was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and domestic battery.
