CalTrans announced Monday that the closure of Highway 35/Skyline Drive which began this week will continue for another week.
Work crews were closing the roadway between Bear Creek Road and Thompson Road every night from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. but starting Sunday at 8 p.m., the road will be closed all day, every day for the next five days. The roadway will reopen at 6 a.m. Friday.
Crews must shore up walls at slip out locations that, if they fail, would place motorists and residents in jeopardy.
