Former Scotts Valley businessman Curtis W. Lawler died Nov. 14 at his home in Morgan Hill, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 87.
Born in San Jose to Tom and Laura Lawler, Mr. Lawler worked as a manager for United Airlines San Francisco Maintenance Base for more than 20 years. He later changed careers and opened Travel Trails, an RV dealership in Scotts Valley. Mr. Lawler co-founded Safari Motorhomes in Oregon and later was president of Beaver Motorhomes, also in Oregon.
He enjoyed flying his Piper Malibu and traveling around the world.
Mr. Lawler is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Gary and Craig, and his wife, Crystal; two sisters, Shirley Steele and Ruby Wright; and a brother, Gene Lawler. He is also survived by four grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and close friends Don and Bev Clauson.
