Police officers from around the county will gather in Scotts Valley on Tuesday, Dec. 8, for an enforcement detail aimed at reducing aggressive driving and traffic accidents on city streets.
Streets that have generated traffic complaints and the main traveled roads in Scotts Valley will be targeted for enforcement by traffic officers from around the county.
Seat belt laws will be strictly enforced, and vehicles driven by unlicensed or suspended drivers will be towed and stored.
The enforcement day is part of the Before Aggressive Drivers Get Everyone Stopped program. The Scotts Valley Police Department hosts the countywide program for the month of December.
The most recent BADGES enforcement day was April 3 in Scotts Valley. On that day, 18 traffic officers from around the county patrolled the city streets and issued 107 citations, towed three vehicles and arrested one person for driving on a suspended license.
