traffic safety roadwork signs and light

Travelers on Highway 17 north of Scotts Valley will continue to encounter a reduction to one lane of travel in each direction on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 2-3, starting at 8pm.

Travelers on northbound Highway 17 will cross over and travel in the southbound direction of the highway south of Sugarloaf Road. Northbound travelers will then return to the northbound side of travel. For both northbound and southbound travel, this lane shift will be in effect on Monday and Tuesday, from 8pm-2am.

This closure for work to take place will be to repair damaged pavement, repair retaining walls and reconstruct guardrail after a tanker spill.

CHP will be on site to assist with traffic control. Message and directional signs will be in place to alert travelers.

“Travelers should allow for extra time during their commute through the area,” according to Caltrans.
