traffic safety roadwork signs and light

Final paving work on a 3.6-mile stretch of Graham Hill Road is scheduled to begin Monday as part of the Santa Cruz Water Department’s Newell Creek Pipeline Replacement Project.

The work will take place between Roaring Camp Road and Henry Cowell Drive from May 11-22 and will include roadway grinding, surface preparation and installation of new pavement using heavy equipment.

Construction crews will begin at Henry Cowell Drive and move north toward Felton.

Traffic control measures, including weekday single-lane closures with flaggers, will remain in place during active construction, similar to previous phases of the project.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and follow posted signs and directions from traffic control personnel.
