Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County, with assistance from the County of Santa Cruz, will host a free workshop Oct. 6 for residents looking to prepare their rural properties for winter.
The “Living on Rural Properties: Winter Preparedness for Santa Cruz Mountains Residents” workshop will run from 6-9pm at the Scotts Valley Community Center.
The workshop will cover private road maintenance, drainage and erosion prevention, well and septic system management, streamwood and local waterways, and available resources and free technical assistance.
