Violeta Dauksa of Scotts Valley has been named a recipient of a 2026 scholarship from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Scholarship Fund.
Dauksa is a recent graduate of Scotts Valley High School and the daughter of Asta Dauksa, a Teamsters Local 2010 member employed by UC Santa Cruz. She will attend Southern Oregon University in the fall.
The Teamsters Scholarship Fund awards 600 scholarships of $2,000 each year. In the past three years, more than 1,600 scholarships have been awarded.
Scholarships are available to high school seniors planning to attend four-year colleges, community college transfer students and students pursuing trade or vocational education. Applicants must be the child or financial dependent of a Teamster.
Teamsters Local 2010 represents more than 16,000 members locally in a variety of industries. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters represents 1.3 million members in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
