Kiwanis of the Valleys
The Kiwanis-sponsored Music at Skypark set another new attendance record at the August concert. Even bigger things are expected at the final show of the season on Sept. 28, when The Joint Chiefs open the show, followed by top local band Extra Large. Admission is free. Food, beer and wine from local vendors are available, with the net proceeds donated to the music programs in local schools.
Through the generous support of our sponsors and vendors, this program has to date raised over $80,000. The show begins at 3:30 p.m. on the lawn at Skypark.
On Sept 20, the club participated in the annual California Clean-up Day by cleaning up the southbound side of Highway 17 in Scotts Valley.
The Kiwanis meet at 7 a.m. every Wednesday morning at Bruno’s BBQ. The second Wednesday of each month is an evening meeting at Bruno’s at 6:30 p.m. For more information about the Kiwanis, visit http://www.kiwanisofthevalleys.org/
