San Lorenzo Valley High’s Asher Dolinger notched 19 points to lead the Cougars to a 62-29 win over St. Francis High at the Watsonville High Boys Basketball Tournament on Dec. 11.

Kai Groleau scored 13 points for the Cougars and senior Michael Kelly had a team-high 11 assists.

Junior Ibarra, Miles Guardino and Nash Horton each scored five points for the Sharks.

SLV (6-3) hosts Summit Prep of Redwood City (3-2) on Tuesday at 7pm.

Pacific Collegiate 47, San Lorenzo Valley 41: Asher Dolinger scored 16 points for the Cougars in a loss to the Pumas at the Watsonville Tournament on Dec 10. 

SLV held a four-point lead with a little more than two minutes left in the game, but the PCS (5-2) rallied back for the victory. Kai Groleau added 15 points for the Cougars.

Scotts Valley 68, Marina 43: Junior Tristan Roure finished with a team-high 23 points for the Falcons in their non-league win over the Mariners at the Watsonville Tournament. 

Sophomore Chase Welle had 13 points and sophomore Evan Anderson added 10 points for Scotts Valley (3-3), which plays at Monte Vista Christian on Tuesday at 7pm.

Girls basketball 

SLV 49, North Monterey County 37: Sophomore guard Hannah Morley had 13 points and eight steals to lead the Cougars to a non-league win over the Condors on Dec. 8.

SLV junior guard Lucy Lilienthal-Wynn finished with 10 points, while junior guard Amelia Sizemore notched eight points for the Cougars (5-3). 

Everett Alvarez 58, Scotts Valley 51: Senior Kaitlin Imai led the Falcons with 19 points in a loss at the Everett Alvarez Tournament on Dec. 9.

Scotts Valley junior Elana McGrew added 17 points, while senior Elaina Benoit added eight points for the Falcons (2-4).

Scotts Valley was supposed to play Notre Dame of Salinas in the Alvarez Tournament on Friday but the event was cancelled due to Covid-19 protocols.

Scotts Valley 52, Terra Nova 36: Senior Kaitlin Imai had 26 points, seven assists and three blocks to lead the Falcons to the non-league win Dec. 7.

Junior Elena McGrew had nine points and 11 rebounds, while junior Audrey Watson had eight points and seven rebounds. Senior Ava Turowski had five points, nine rebounds and three blocks for the Falcons 

Boys soccer

Scotts Valley 2, Lynbrook 1: Mars Davis and Cooper Wickum each notched a goal for the Falcons in their win at the Homestead Christmas Cup pool play on Dec. 11.

Scotts Valley (1-2-0) played Monte Vista Christian on Monday. 

Girls soccer

Scotts Valley 2, Watsonville 1: Naiya Saimos notched a pair of goals for the Falcons in their non-league win over the Wildcatz on Dec. 6. 

Scotts Valley (1-2-0) plays at Gunn High in Palo Alto on Tuesday at 7pm.
