7:51 p.m., Scotts Valley Gas, Mt. Hermon Road, Theft — Theft of pack of cigarettes. White male, white T-shirt, baseball hat, scruffy looking. Rode away on Whispering Pines toward Bubbles Laundromat on bicycle.

Oct. 15

11:34 p.m., Mt Hermon Road/ Flora Lane, Drugs — Officer initiated activity. A female was arrested and booked into county jail for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
7:53 p.m., Santa Cruz Ranch RV on Disc Drive, Trespassing — Evicted resident “stole code” to bathroom and is currently inside showering. Officer checked the area and could not find any such subject. The park will call back if they need assistance with the subject in the future.
5:37 p.m., Montevalle Mobile Home Park on Bean Creek Road, Public Intoxication — Caller advised that her neighbor came outside with a shotgun after the neighbor was involved in a disturbance with another neighbor. When the reporting party contacted the male and told him to leave the other neighbor alone he then came out of the house with a shotgun. A male subject brandished a pellet gun during a verbal dispute. The reporting party did not wish to press charges. The male was determined to be too intoxicated to care for his own safety, and was located at the bottom of his driveway. The pellet gun was surrendered by the male to this department.

Oct. 14

5:40 a.m., Scotts Valley Community Center, Disturbance — Someone has talk radio/music blasting. Possibly setting up for the Farmer’s Market. Reporting party was able to speak with the responsible party, who agreed to turn down their radio. No response requested.

Oct. 13

12:35 a.m., Chase Bank on Mt. Hermon Road, Stolen Vehicle — Car taken from Chase Bank while reporting party had her nails done. Keys not with vehicle. Occurred in the last half hour. Investigating officer was able to assist the reporting party in locating her vehicle, which was parked elsewhere in the lot.

Oct. 12

6:31 p.m., Whispering Pines Drive, Trespassing — Reporting party had called earlier regarding a suspicious person/trespasser who isn’t there now, but was on his property earlier. He said the subject was babbling about his car being stolen, and seemed to appear out of nowhere. He returned to a residence across the street. A short time later, reporting party was checking his security video and saw the subject in the neighbor’s driveway (on a recording) sitting on a scooter. Reporting party can show investigating officer the video and point out the house. Call RP before responding. Investigating officer contacted the responsible neighbor, who was verbally warned at the reporting party’s request to stay off the property.
6:17 p.m., Bill Chapman Automotive, Theft — Reporting party says a tenant stole various items from him before vacating the property today. Reporting party stated that a female was missing property and believed her boyfriend was responsible for taking the property. Investigating officer explained to the reporting party that since the female was the victim she needed to file the report for her missing property.
10:07 a.m., Mt. Hermon Shell, Altering a Prescription — Investigating officer responded to a report of three male juveniles seen drinking cough syrup in a parked black BMW. Officer contacted the subjects and observed in plain view a glass container with marijuana contained in it. Officer conducted a search of the vehicle and located a Rx bottle containing codeine cough syrup with the label torn off under the driver seat. Officer cited one of the involved parties for altered prescription and released him at the scene after he claimed “ownership” of the prescription item.
3:44 p.m., Baja Sol at Whispering Pines Drive, Disturbance — Reporting party advising that there are subjects fighting in the street. They are hiding behind the trees and in the bushes. Subjects are throwing rocks at the caller who is inside but is afraid that they will break a window. Caller’s statements were conflicting and became uncooperative when being asked clarifying questions.
