The Scotts Valley Firefighters Local Union 3577 will award a scholarship of $500.00 to a ScottsValleyHigh School student who is interested in establishing a career in the fire service or emergency medical service.
The student who receives the scholarship will have excelled academically, is active in community service, and involved in extracurricular activities at their high school. The student will have demonstrated that they hold the following values: integrity, honesty, respect and determination to succeed in attaining a higher education. The student chosen will be based on demonstrated principles of academics, good sportsmanship, community service and leadership.
In order to be considered for the $500.00 Scholarship; you must meet the following criteria: ● be a High School Senior currently enrolled at ScottsValleyHigh School. ● have at least a 3.0 GPA. ● be involved in school and community affairs. ● be planning an education or career in the Fire Service and or EMS profession. ● be planning to attend a public California Community College, California State College, CaliforniaUniversity or suitable Vocational School. ● Submit letters of Recommendation from a teacher, counselor or other appropriate persons.
Each student must submit a short biography explaining special circumstances they think the Scotts Valley Firefighters should know about.
