Lynn Beebe

The Scotts Valley Educational Foundation recently announced it would offer a financial assistance grant for Scotts Valley High School students to pursue professional counseling and guidance for their college planning.
Lynn Beebe was a longtime teacher, counselor, coach and athletics director at Scotts Valley Middle School who died Jan. 22 at age 47.
The Lynn Beebe College Counseling Grant was created in her honor as a way of continuing her efforts to help students find their ideal schools.
“(Beebe) had a special connection with her students and took great pride in helping them navigate the path to college,” stated Allison Niday, the president of the foundation, in a press release.
Applications for the grant will be made available in March in the Scotts Valley High School College and Career Counseling Office. The first recipients will be announced in May.
Local residents may contribute to the grant fund, which was founded in 2012 with the help of Beebe’s parents, Jack and Jan Beebe.
